Send a pitch

We welcome pitches that help readers notice or shape ordinary time with care. A strong contribution has one clear question, a distinct point of view and useful detail, without promising a universal fix for a complicated day.

What we welcome

We consider original essays and practical editorial pieces about attention, rituals, transitions, pace and the seasons of daily life. A pitch might explain why a familiar moment feels the way it does, compare two distinct approaches, examine a custom or offer a modest plan for a particular setting. Keep each idea focused enough to make its central point clear.

A useful pitch

Tell us the working title, the main idea, why it may interest our readers and what makes your approach distinct. Include a short description of the proposed structure and note any sources or experience the piece relies on. Avoid broad promises, unsupported claims and advice that depends on professional judgment.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Please include your name and a way for us to reply in the form. A pitch is a proposal, not a guarantee of publication; we will consider whether it fits our subject and editorial approach.
